授業概要 / Class Description This course will cover real-life situations involve using English for communication in air travel, hotels, restaurants, tours, and at international travel destinations. These situations will assist student with knowledge and confidence they will need in dealing with: reservations, travel documents, immigration procedures, sightseeing, booking tours, ordering in restaurants, making requests, and in many other situations they will encounter working in the travel or tourism. industry. The class is conducted in English, by a native-language speaker. The curriculum of the lessons is the same for both online classes and face-to-face classes on campus.

到達目標 / Goal This class will provide non-native English speakers, who are planning to work in the international travel and tourism industries, with essential language skills needed for entry level career jobs. The reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills that students acquire in this class will allow them to function more successfully, in professional working conditions in English. Students will be able to conduct situational conversations required by tourism professionals, using the appropriate English knowledge and skills for specific fields of employment. Functional skills acquired will focus on (though not limited to): Transportation, Hotels, Restaurants and Tours.
