授業概要 ／ Class Description This course will help students improve their listening through listening tasks and through the development of a variety of short and extended conversations. There will be significant focus on learning vocabulary and phrases that are essential to understanding the content of the listening and speaking tasks. Students will participate in pair work and small group work to give them opportunities to robustly use the targeted vocabulary.
到達目標 ／ Goal Students will be able to: 1) use listening strategies to help with their understanding of essential listening tasks, 2) actively use the vocabulary presented, and 3) understand the key concepts of 'reduced speech.'

授業形式 ／ Teaching Method 対面授業・オンライン授業のどちらの形式であっても、グループワークで与えられた課題に取り組み、オンライン上の黒板等で個人およびグループの見解や課題に対する取り組みをアウトプットすると同時に共有する機会を設ける。相互的なアクティビティを通して、課題に対するアプローチの多様な方法を知り、それらの質をさらに高められるように各自が気づきを得る取り組みを行う。
評価方法 ／ Evaluation 評価方法：A(S)～C・E評価
評価の基準：授業態度（課題提出を含む）50％、小テストを含む学期末試験50％で評価する。
教科書等 ／ Textbook 担当教員が開講時に指示する。
準備学習 ／ Preliminary study 不明な語句は必ず辞書で調べて授業に臨む。
